Mac Miller’s drug supplier, Stephen Walter, pleaded guilty to the distribution of fentanyl to the late rapper. According to TMZ and court docs, Walter’s other drug charge, which was “conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance,” was dropped.
Walter reportedly gave Cameron James Pettit, Miller’s alleged dealer, the Percocet tablets that caused the rapper to OD. Pettit reportedly texted Walter before a runner was sent to Miller.
Hence, prosecutors argue Walter pleading guilty means he was holistically aware of selling fentanyl-laced oxycodone pills.
The supplier could face more than 20 years in prison as well as a lifetime of supervision and a $1 million fine. Prosecutors recommend 5 years of supervised release after serving 17 years in prison. Walter was already on supervised release due to another prior drug charge.
