People to announce 2024 Sexiest Man Alive
Who will unseat Patrick Dempsey as People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive? The world is just hours away from finding out.
People said it will reveal its 2024 Sexiest Man Alive at 11:35 p.m. Tuesday on the Late Show with Steven Colbert — cementing the new “Hollywood hottie.”
Dempsey, known for his role as neurosurgeon Dr. Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd in ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, won the title in 2023, after Marvel star Chris Evans’ win in 2022.
Past honorees also included Idris Elba, David Beckham, Bradley Cooper, George Clooney and Matthew McConaughey, People said.
Ahead of the decision Tuesday night, People released its 2024 Readers’ Choice Poll results, which included various categories.
Nearly 350,000 votes were cast, People said, and it was the most “fiercely contested” readers’ choice poll yet. Fifteen categories were put forward in September for voting, and here are the results:

- Sexiest Fiyero: Jonathan Bailey

- Makes BRAT Look Sexiest: Joe Jonas
- Sexiest Tattoos: Jeremy Allen White
- Sexiest New Heartthrob: Jacob Elordi
- Sexiest Musician: Harry Styles
- Sexiest First-Time Dad: Robert Pattinson
- Sexiest Podcast Host: Jason and Travis Kelce
- Sexiest Supportive Partner in Sports: Hunter Woodhall
- Sexiest TikTok Star: Mark Estes
