Country music Hall of Famer Alan Jackson will perform at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh on Oct. 8 as part of his “Last Call: One More For The Road Tour.”

It’s Jackson’s first time on the road since revealing last fall that he’s living with CMT (Charcot-Marie-Tooth) disorder, a chronic inherited neuropathy condition that results in nerve deterioration and hampers muscle function, movement and balance.

Tickets go on sale March 18 at 10 a.m. at AlanJackson.com.

For every ticket sold on the tour, $1 will be donated to the CMT Research Foundation.

The 16-city tour begins June 24 in Biloxi, Miss., and ends in Pittsburgh on Oct. 8. It’s being promoted by Live Nation Entertainment.

“I’ve always admired my heroes like George Jones, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn and Charley Pride who just played as much as they wanted to, as long as they could,” said Jackson. “I’ve always thought I’d like to do that, and I’d like to as long as my health will allow.”

Jackson, a three-time Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year, is known for hit songs such as “Chattahoochee,” “It’s Five O’ Clock Somewhere,” “I’d Love You All Over Again” and “Here in the Real World.” He is one of the top-selling country music recording artists of all time with nine certified multi-platinum albums. He has also won two Grammy Awards.

Jackson released his latest album, “Where Have You Gone,” last May. It features 15 songs and topped the country album chart.
