Songs for your Halloween party.

Halloween night in Western Pa. may be a wash out – rain and strong gusts are in the forecast – so if you’re staying in or hosting trick-or-treaters at your place, here are some spooky songs to party along too.

Things start heavy on the song list but verve towards more danceable songs before finishing with a classic.

Enjoy and post your favorites in the comments.

“Bark at the Moon” – Ozzy Osbourne

Could probably spin off a complete Ozzy Halloween playlist, but we’ll start with this. And watch as Ozzy turns into a werewolf.

“Halloween” – Helloween

On theme with classic German heavy metal from 1987.

“Running with the Devil” – Van Halen

If you’re still in the search for a costume, you could dress up as David Lee Roth – just wear spandex pants, boas and do lots of flying kicks and jumps.

“Sympathy For The Devil” – The Rolling Stones

A lovely song about the devil.

“Werewolves of London” – Warren Zevon

This songs recreate the spooky vibes of the foggy streets of London.

“Ghost Train” – Shonen Knife

The list now turns towards some fun, more danceable, but still scary music.

“Ultraviolence” – Lana Del Rey

Del Ray makes songs that are beautiful and stylish, but still carry a sense of dread.

“Sweet but Psycho” – Ava Max

Watch out for psychos in your personal life.

“It’s Halloween” – The Shaggs

This song may scare both children and adults.

“Devil Town” – Daniel Johnston

The kids will remember this rainy Halloween for years.

“Rapture” – Blondie

Remember when New York City was scary?

“Zombie” – The Cranberries

The original grungy version that spooked teens in the 1990s.

“Zombie” – Bad Wolves

Or try this updated version by power metal group.

“Zombies” – Childish Gambino

Still on the zombie theme.

“A Nightmare on My Street” – DJ Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince

Now for some fun Halloween songs.

“Monster Mash” – Bobby Pickett

A classic. Who doesn’t like a graveyard smash?

“Ghostbusters” – Ray Parker Jr.

Why not.

“Thriller” – Michael Jackson

Watch the entire 13:42 minutes movie and take in the creepy story, the dance routines and MJ’s glorious leather jacket.
