The first of a series of digital lottery for tickets to the Pittsburgh run of multi-award-winning musical, “Hamilton,” is now open — through noon Feb. 18.

Subsequent digital lotteries will begin on each Friday and close the following Thursday for the upcoming week’s performances. A limited number of tickets will be available for every performance for $10 each.

Performances begin Feb. 22 in the Benedum Center in the Cultural District and run through March 13.

To enter, use the official app for “Hamilton,” available for all iOS and Android devices in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

The lottery will open at 10 a.m. every Friday and close at noon the next Thursday prior to the following week’s performances for the duration of the Pittsburgh run.

Winner and non-winner notifications will be sent between 1 and 4 p.m. every Thursday for the upcoming week’s performances via email and mobile push notification. Winners will have two hours to claim and pay for tickets.

Each winning entrant may purchase up to two tickets. Only one entry is allowed per person. Repeat entries and disposable email addresses will be discarded.

Tickets may be picked up at will-call beginning two hours prior to the performance with a valid photo ID. Tickets are non-transferable and will be void if resold.

Lottery entrants must be 18 years or older and have a valid photo ID that matches the name used to enter.

Patrons also are advised to check official “Hamilton” channels and trustarts.org for late-release seats, which may become available at short notice.

“Hamilton” is the story of America in the time of founding father Alexander Hamilton, told through a modern score blending hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway musical genres.

With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the musical is based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography. It has won Tony, Grammy and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

It is presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Broadway Across America and producer Jeffrey Seller. For more information, visit trustarts.org.
