Anticipation? Heinz's website takes 57 minutes to load — on purpose
We’ve all been on the receiving end of a website taking forever to load.
That spinning hourglass mocking us relentlessly.
But sometimes playing the waiting game is the entire point.
Kraft Heinz, the company known for its “anticipation” ad campaign of the ’70s and ’80s, is going for the slow burn — its website now takes 57 minutes to load.
On purpose.
The company is offering a Heinz Burger Kit, but only to those willing to wait it out. If you have enough patience — and suffer through a Heinz-red screen for 57 minutes — you can enter for a shot at winning a Burger Kit.
“Heinz knows burger night is an opportunity for families to create magical moments together,” said Shelly Hayden, brand manager for Heinz Ketchup. “We are excited to equip families with everything they need for a magical family burger night with the Heinz Burger Kit. We promise the 57-minute wait is worth it!”
The kits come with a red spatula, custom apron and grill mitt, napkins, plates and, of course, a 20 oz. bottles of Heinz Ketchup, Heinz Yellow Mustard and a 12.7 oz. bottle of Heinz Sweet Relish. You will need to bring your own burgers.
The chance to win a kit will be up until Feb. 28.
