Calling all pets — auditions are on for the Cadbury Bunny
It’s audition time — for your fur baby.
Since your pet is better than all others — you don’t doubt that, do you? — why not sign Fido or Mittens up to claim their fame.
Hershey is holding auditions for its third annual Cadbury Bunny Tryouts, with the winning pet starring in their very own commercial this Easter. Oh, and $5,000 to boot!
Cadbury’s official audition site puts the call out, looking for entrants to submit photos of their pet — decked out in bunny ears (if you don’t have any, Cadbury provides).
Last year, Cadbury’s winner was Lieutenant Dan, a two-legged Coonhound from New Richmond, Ohio.

Lieutenant Dan will act as “guest judge” for this year’s competition.
“Coming off a year of ample quality pet time, and a record year for animals joining new families, we are anxious to see what the competition brings,” said Trevor Jakubek, Cadbury’s senior associate brand manager. “We plan to make 2021 the biggest and best Cadbury Bunny Tryouts yet.”
Lieutenant Dan’s Cadbury commercial will be debuting soon, the company said.
Entries are being accepted through March 1, with the voting running from March 10-17. The winner will be revealed March 23.
The new Cadbury Bunny will grace screens across America later this year as the new star of the iconic Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercial. The winner will also receive a $5,000 cash prize.
Complete contest rules can be found on the official tryout site or here.
