Fat Cat is closing.
The establishment on East Ohio Street in the Deutschtown neighborhood on Pittsburgh’s North Side announced its closure this weekend.
Saturday will be the final day for dining and entertainment. The restaurant shared the news via social media.

According to its website, there are shows planned for Wednesday, Friday and Saturday this week. Landline Bluegrass will be on stage at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Final Friday Comedy with host James Phelps is at 8 p.m. Friday and CIELO - An Intimate House Music Affair with Nice Nate, Stefania, & Jynki is at 8 p.m. Saturday.
Also on Friday Close to the Edge, a mostly- vinyl disc jockey night focusing on progressive and psychedelic rock from a hip-hop crate digger’s point of view. Expect the unexpected as we plunder our crates in search of the dusty, bugged-out sounds of the past, the post reads.
”If you were curious about this night last month and thought ‘maybe I’ll hit the next one,’ this is your chance!” according to the Instagram post.
Fat Cat is not open on Monday and Tuesday.
Owners Cory Hughes and Alex Feltovich are also involved with Fig & Ash, a full-service bar and restaurant on East Ohio Street next door to Fat Cat. Hughes and Feltovich did not immediately return a call or message via Instagram on Monday.
