Heinz and Uber Eats partner to verify ketchup-serving restaurants
Have you ever wondered which restaurants serve or don’t serve Heinz ketchup? Well now, you won’t have to.
Kraft Heinz is teaming up with Uber Eats to create Heinz Verified — a program designed to single out restaurants that serve Heinz products.
According to Kraft Heinz, 84% of people say they would like a restaurant more if it served Heinz ketchup.
The new verified program will be launching in the Uber Eats app in six major U.S. markets, but it will support local restaurants nationwide, according to the release.
The markets include Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami and Pittsburgh.
People in those cities can now find Heinz Verified restaurants on the Uber Eats app.
For a limited time, people who order from Heinz Verified restaurants can also enjoy $5 off Uber Eats orders of $30 or more.
Heinz Verified restaurants will have access to insights and consumer trends, free product samples, promotions, branded merchandise, digital resources and free marketing support designed to drive customer traffic, according to Kraft Heinz.
As part of the new program, there will be a new content series titled “Daytrippin” that will debut on YouTube and streaming platforms, following actor, comedian and social media personality Steven He on a road trip from Pittsburgh to Cleveland to Chicago.
“By introducing Heinz Verified, we want to help restaurants succeed so communities can thrive — delivering quality and value for both restaurants and individuals through meaningful, best-in-class products and experiences,” said Peter Hall, president of elevation in North America at Kraft Heinz. “Our ambition is to help restaurant operators excel while also providing elevated dining experiences for people wherever they eat away from home.”
Restaurants interested in getting Heinz Verified can sign up online, and people can nominate their favorite restaurants that serve Heinz for the program as well.
