A McCandless entrepreneur, mom and former food editor has published her second book to help families with food allergies enjoy safe and delicious meals.
Liz Fetchin’s “Weeknight SOS” goes on sale Sept. 5.
It is part of her Octofree brand, launched in 2021, an online resource so people with food allergies, intolerances and other dietary restrictions can enjoy safe and delicious meals free of the eight most-common food allergens: milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, soy and wheat.
“Weeknight SOS” features a one-month meal plan and e-cookbook filled with quick and easy, allergy-friendly dinners. It is available through https://octofree.com/shop/.
“For those of us with food allergies, intolerances and other dietary restrictions, the simple act of getting dinner on the table can be incredibly time-consuming, especially since we can’t always take advantage of shortcuts like takeout, meal kits, restaurants and fast food,” said Fetchin, a former food editor for Pittsburgh Magazine.
The cookbook costs $15 until Sept. 12; afterward, it will be $20.
Fetchin also is the author of “An Octofree Thanksgiving.”
