The Novo Asian Food Hall will open on March 1 in the Pittsburgh Strip District Terminal.

The Novo Asian Food Hall, featuring seven authentic dining concepts, opens at 4 p.m. Friday.

Located in the Terminal in Pittsburgh’s Strip District, the 8,600-square-foot space will offer dishes from Korean delicacies to Vietnamese street food.

“We are thrilled to introduce Novo Food Hall to the vibrant dining and cultural scene of the Strip District,” owner Alex Tang said in a statement. “With its diverse collection of culinary offerings, Novo Food Hall celebrates the rich tapestry of Asian cuisine while providing a unique dining experience for guests.”

The hall will have a central bar featuring a selection of spirits from across Asia, as well as a collection of local craft beer and spirits and Japanese whiskeys and sake. It will serve makgeolli, a Korean sparkling rice wine, and cocktails that highlight non-traditional ingredients.

The seven concepts will be led by Pittsburgh-based chefs.

Sumi’s Cakery is a Korean bakery known for freshly baked bread, pastries, and more than 11 cake flavors including strawberry and green tea.

Teachana serves a blend of tea flavors and bowls of ramen.

Korea Garden 2 offers traditional dishes from spicy kimchi, made from fermented vegetables, garlic, ginger, and fish sauce, to savory bulgogi — thin, marinated slices of meat, most commonly beef, grilled.

Kung Fu Chicken is known for seasoned fried chicken.

Tan Lac Vien is a Vietnamese bistro featuring authentic dishes from aromatic pho, a soup dish consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat; to savory banh mi, a street food sandwich with pork, pickled vegetables and mayonnaise on a baguette.

Mola will have hand rolls and flavorful rice bowls.

Lolo’s Kusina features Philippine cuisine including breakfast sandwiches, eggrolls and savory lumpia shanghai, a type of egg roll with ground pork, minced onions, carrots, and seasonings.

The Novo Asian Food Hall is located at 1931 Smallman St. in the Strip District. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week, beginning Saturday.
