If you often find yourself disappointed in the amount of usable avocado that remains once you remove the pit, this larger variety might be the answer.

Miami Fruits is a fruit stand in Florida that stocks unusual species and ships them to adventurous foodies everywhere.

One of their Instagram posts explains, “This is a long neck avocado grown right here in Miami! It is 100% non gmo and organic. It is not commonly found in the grocery store because this variety in particular is not grown commercially.”

This variety typically grow just over a foot and a half long but they can reach up to three feet. That’s a lot of guac.

Miami Fruits offers the oversized avocados for a short time each summer. A box of 3-6 pounds for $47 and other sizes up to their 35-45 pound “bulk box” at $197.

These long avocados and other rare varieties were reported by Slate back in 2012.
