Children are invited to set sail from home with Gemini Children’s Theater for an action-packed “Pirates of the Mon” adventure.

The McKees Rocks-based theater has posted a video in which Allegheny Annie and Captain Schnook board the Black and Gold Pearl in search of the Triangle Treasure.

In order to get ready for the adventure, kids can view video tutorials for making their own pirate hat, eye patch, telescope and even a ship.

The video follows the crew as its treasure hunting “efforts are thwarted when the lazy Captain Schnook loses his sword, telescope and the treasure map because his ship is such a mess. Annie and the crew join forces to help the captain get himself and the ship back into shape and beat the notorious Swiper Sam to the treasure.

“Through very interactive songs, the crew learns how to wake up their energy, cooperate, make work fun and use their brains over brawn to outsmart the enemy,” the theater says.

Related activities also are available on the theater website, including a pirate crossword puzzle with secret message, maze, word search and “find the differences” page.

Video and activities are suitable for ages 3 and older.
