The National Aviary is offering a space for smaller weddings in its tropical rainforest room.

Calling it a “Destination Elopement Close to Home,” the National Aviary is opening up its newly renovated tropical rain forest room for small weddings featuring a waterfall, lush greenery and a few extra guests — the resident birds.

“Couples with summer wedding plans interrupted by Coronavirus can still have an intimate ceremony with the feeling of a destination wedding,” the Aviary announced .

The special, limited-time offer is for couples with up to 20 guests. The cost is $500.

The aviary has been hit by closures because of the covid-19 pandemic. Most recently, including recently after Allegheny County ordered restrictions on countywide gatherings effective July 3.

But the small wedding space will be offered in July through September, with limited availability October through December.
