A 3-month-old boy died Monday at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh after first responders were notified that the infant was in distress in Brighton Heights.

Kyrie Robert Mitchell was unresponsive when first responders arrived at the infant’s Davis Avenue home around 8:20 p.m., city police said. Detectives are investigating.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet ruled on the cause and manner of death.
