During her third year in office, Audrey Mackie will chair the Pine Board of Supervisors.

She was elected to the position at the board’s Jan. 2 reorganization meeting. A lifelong resident of the Wexford area, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Edinboro University, now PennWest Edinboro, and works in operations management.

Her goals as supervisor, as listed in a 2021 Tribune-Review general election preview, included securing “a future for the residents that is not riddled with overpopulation, strained school systems and overburdened infrastructure,” and preserving green space while maintaining the rights of private property owners.

Ryan Colombo, who led the board in 2023, is this year’s vice chair. He is one of three supervisors who were reelected to the board in November, along with Pat Avolio and Jack Donahue.

As approved by supervisors, their appointments to various entities remain the same as last year:

• Northern Regional Police Board — Avolio, Colombo and Casey White, appointees; Mackie and Donahue, alternates

• North Hills Council of Government — Donahue, appointee; Mackie, alternate

In another vote on Jan. 2, supervisors appointed residents to township boards, commissions and committees for 2024:

• Planning commission, terms to expire Dec. 31, 2027 — R. Jeffrey McGeary and Joseph Culos, reappointments; Ryan Retter, new appointment

The board of supervisors is scheduled to hold its 2024 business meetings at 6:30 p.m. the first Monday of each month and work sessions at the same time on third Mondays at the Pine Community Center, 100 Pine Park Drive.

Because of holidays, work sessions will take place on Tuesdays, Jan. 16 and Feb. 20, and a business meeting the day after Labor Day, Sept. 3.
