Bank of America looks to build branch in Lincoln-Lemington

Bank of America is looking to open a new branch in Pittsburgh’s Lincoln-Lemington neighborhood.
The bank is seeking approval from the city’s Planning Commission to tear down an abandoned one-story retail store on Freeport Road and build the branch there.
Bank of America is planning a one-story bank with drive-throughs and parking, according to plans presented to the Planning Commission.
Plans call for lighting around the perimeter of the site, particularly around the door and drive-through ATMs “so people feel safe when they use those facilities,” said Ryan Mastowski, a civil engineer on the project.
Bank of America has 14 financial centers and 67 ATMs in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland counties, according to its website.
Commissioners are expected to vote on the proposal at their next meeting in two weeks.
