Bill Haberthru accepted a portrait of the Tomb of Unknown Soldier for the Bethel Park Historical Society’s military museum from Joy Mahrer, Regent of the DAR Bethel Fife & Drum Chapter on Nov. 11.

The Bethel Fife and Drum Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and the Bethel Park Historical Society marked the 100th Anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington Cemetery on Nov. 11.

The Veterans Day ceremony at the Schoolhouse Arts & History Center also honored all veterans.

The Schoolhouse bell rang 21 times in a National Salute to the veterans who lost their identity and lives in the defense of others, and the ceremony concluded with the sound of taps.
