No one was injured when a boat sank and leaked fuel in the Allegheny River on Friday afternoon, according to Pittsburgh police.

A Pittsburgh hazmat crew responded to the 500 block of North Shore Drive just after 5 p.m. to put up booms around the sinking boat and contain the fuel spill.

River Rescue, comprised Pittsburgh EMS and police, along with the state Fish and Boat Commission, responded.

A towing company was attempting to salvage the sunken boat.
