La Roche University announced Jan. 19 it will host an April concert featuring rapper Bryce Vine and Pittsburgh alternative rock band The Ghost Club.
Sponsored by the La Roche Concert Council, the concert is slated for Thursday, April 13 at the Kerr Fitness & Sports Center at the school’s McCandless campus. Doors will open at 7 p.m., with the concert set to begin at 8 p.m.
Tickets are available to the public for $25 and to La Roche students for $15.
“We are so excited to get the La Roche Concert Council back up and running post-covid,” Rishi Bahl, an assistant professor of marketing, said. “Students have been working hard to bring an act that has broad appeal to our student body and beyond.”
Students have done “virtually everything” to prepare for the concert, Bahl said, including finding the talent, preparing concert operations and launching a marketing and social media campaign.
Headliner Bryce Vine recently made his major label debut with an album dubbed “Carnival,” released by Sire Records. TIME said the rapper “sounds like the definition of cool.”
The artist toured across the nation in 2019 and has performed on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” “Wendy Williams,” “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and “Live with Kelly and Ryan.”
