All-Chevy Car Show
The South Fayette-based Steel Town Corvette Club, supported by Colussy Chevrolet, organizes the annual All-Chevy Car Show, which will take place at the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department on Commerical Street on Aug. 8 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Vehicles include modern, vintage and antique Chevrolet cars and trucks. Other activities include raffles, door prizes, a DJ and food trucks. Car entrants receive a T-shirt, car photo and goody bag. Participants judge cars in 18 categories, plus award Best in Show and People’s Choice. Steel Town club members may show their cars but are not eligible to win. Carnegie Farmers Market
The Carnegie Farmers Market will take place every Sunday on East Main Street between Broadway and Mary from noon-3 p.m. through Sept. 26 with more than 40 vendors. Shoppers will have the ability to use SNAP and WIC benefits to purchase produce. The virtual market is open year-round at www.carnegieborough.com/vmarket.
Meal distributions
In Carnegie, meal distribution is Monday through Friday throughout the summer. Free grab-and-go breakfast and lunch is offered at the following three locations:
The Carnegie Boys and Girls Club, 630 Washington Ave., from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
In front of the Carnegie Municipal Building, 1 Veterans Way, from 11 a.m. to noon.
St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 601 Washington Ave., from 4 to 5 p.m.
In Crafton, breakfast and lunch is provided Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to noon at the entrance to Crafton Elementary School, 1874 Crafton Blvd.
All sites are open to any family with children 18 and under, no matter what school they attend or where they live. Weekend food bags are available every Friday at all locations.
