Cleveland man arrested in connection with killing of woman found in Wilkinsburg

Authorities have arrested a Cleveland man wanted in connection with the killing of Adrianna K. Taylor, whose body was found Thanksgiving night in a Wilkinsburg backyard.
Anthony Kennedy, 43, surrendered himself to Allegheny County police at police headquarters at 2 p.m. Wednesday and was placed into custody of the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force, a U.S. Marshals spokesperson said. He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
Kennedy turned himself in with an attorney, Blaine Jones. Jones told the Tribune-Review Wednesday afternoon that Kennedy had contacted the attorney Tuesday and wanted to turn himself in.
Jones said he was not aware of the facts of the case, and could comment more after Kennedy is arraigned on charges.
“All I ask the public for is to allow the process to play out,” Jones said. “It’s his Constitutional right.”
An arrest warrant for Kennedy was issued Tuesday. The warrant states that “probable cause that [Kennedy] committed the offense in the City of Cleveland…” It’s unclear why Taylor’s body was taken to Wilkinsburg.
Taylor, 23, was initially listed as missing by Cleveland police on Nov. 13, and her family told police they had not heard from her since early October. Allegheny County medical examiners said that Taylor died of a gunshot wound to the head. The case has been declared a homicide.
Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County previously issued a $5,000 reward for information leading to Kennedy’s arrest. It was unclear Wednesday if anyone will claim that reward.
“If anyone knows anything, report it to the police. Just report it because if it was your child, your cousin, your niece, you would want somebody to do the same,” Adrianna Taylor’s aunt, Terri Taylor told FOX 8 News in Cleveland. “Over the last few weeks, that is what I was going through. Like, where is she? What are they doing to her? I was praying that we found her alive, I was praying that.”
