Crash on I-79 sends 1 to hospital

One person was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment Monday morning following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 near the Wexford exit, according to an Allegheny County 911 dispatch supervisor.

The crash was reported shortly before 6:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the interstate, partially blocking traffic.

All traffic lanes were reopened by 7:15 a.m.

Additional details weren’t immediately available.
