Fire at Millvale apartment building sends 1 to hospital

Emergency crews respond to a fire March 22 at an apartment building in Millvale.

At least one injury was reported when fire broke out Saturday evening at an apartment building in Millvale.

One person was taken to a hospital for treatment from the fire scene at the 28-unit Regency House Apartments on Howard Street , according to TribLive news partner WTAE.

Seville Volunteer Company said in a social media post that it responded shortly after 7 p.m. to the fire, noting, “First arriving crews were able to get a quick knock on a fire in the basement level of the building.”

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The condition of the injured person wasn’t immediately available.
