The sprawling estate at 341 Fairview Road is listed for $7 million and features more than 13,700 square feet of living space.

A European-inspired estate boasting an elevator and eight bathrooms in Fox Chapel is listed for $7 million.

The provincial-designed country estate on three acres, located at 341 Fairview Road, sits atop a hill and overlooks 7½ acres of undeveloped land owned by the Fox Chapel Land Conservation Trust.

“This estate offers privacy and a serene, natural backdrop,” said listing agent Colleen Steigerwalt of Howard Hanna.

Six bedrooms, two separate guest houses, a cigar room, game room, library, four concrete fireplaces and a temperature-controlled wine cellar are among the amenities at the residence, which also features a French limestone foyer and more than 13,700 square feet of living space.

“This location is surrounded by country clubs, community parks, restaurants and so much more,” Steigerwalt said. “The land nearby will not be developed because of the land trust.”

A total of 18 skilled stonemasons worked for more than two years to create the home’s stonework using a variety of stones delivered from Philadelphia.

Specialty materials used in construction include limestone, walnut, mahogany, slate and copper.

“This property truly stands out for its meticulous attention to detail and exceptional craftsmanship, evident throughout every square inch,” Steigerwalt said. “Those who have toured are often surprised to learn that this is new construction, given its timeless quality.”

The home was constructed in 2014 and designed by Philadelphia architect Rene Hoffman. It was built by custom home expert John Hobart Miller.

The cigar room seals shut when the French doors are closed and offers a vent to clear the smoke to the outside and has a covered porch.

The homeowner declined to comment.
