Fox Chapel Area School District students will host their 34th annual telethon Friday, Dec. 22 at 1:30 p.m. to raise money for Backpack for Hunger.
The telethon will involve students from all six schools in the Fox Chapel Area School District: Fairview, Hartwood, Kerr, and O’Hara elementaries; Dorseyville Middle School; and Fox Chapel Area High School.
Represents of students, teachers, parents, and the community will make donations during the event. The public can invited to make donations through https://backpackforhunger.org/donate/.
The telethon will be broadcast on the Swift Fox Media YouTube Channel at www.youtube.com/@SwiftFoxMedia.
The telethon is coordinated by the Fox Chapel Area High School Fox Leadership Council and the video production students who plan and produce the event.
Backpack for Hunger is a local, volunteer, nonprofit organization that provides weekend food for students in the Fox Chapel Area School District and food bags to district children during the summer months.
