O’Hara council will meet on Jan. 8 to vote on sewer rates.

O’Hara residents will pay slightly more in sanitary sewer fees this year.

Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday to amend the township sewer rates, establishing a new fee of $2.35 per 1,000 gallons, up from $2.25.

The customer service charge will also increase slightly to $5.75 from $5.65.

The increase is necessary because of expenses related to work for the administrative consent order, Manager Julie Jakubec said.

Council also will consider purchase of a 2019 Ford F 550 for the public service department.

Cost is $66,150, which includes the trade-in of a 2012 Ford F 550. Money is included in the 2019 budget.

Council meets at the municipal office, 325 Fox Chapel Road.
