Eton Road in O’Hara is closed for culvert repairs.

Eton Drive in O’Hara could reopen as soon as Friday if crews are able to wrap up storm water line repairs.

The road is closed at the Delafield intersection while crews replace a culvert that was damaged in the July 2018 storms, Township Engineer Chuck Steinert said.

Cost is $55,000.

Work affected the bus routes for Fox Chapel Area School District, with 11 students having to use a temporary bus stop, according to Bonnie Berzonski, district coordinator of communications.

“Our director of ancillary services called each family personally to let them know the details,” she said. “There weren’t any issues.”

Eton has been closed about a week so far.

Work is weather dependent but Steinert said “if things go good this week, the road may be opened by Friday.”
