Presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris and running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz are set to kick off a Pennsylvania bus tour Sunday in Pittsburgh.

In their bid to keep a Democratic administration in the White House, the pair plans to make multiple stops in the state over the course of the day, campaign officials said.

Though a specific schedule hasn’t been released, the tour is expected to focus on meeting voters in community settings such as retail locations while also including canvass kickoff events.

The tour marks the first time Harris and Walz will campaign together with their respective spouses, second gentleman Doug Emhoff and Gwen Walz.

Their Pennsylvania visit follows a week when Harris and her running mate campaigned in multiple swing states and comes the day before the Democratic National Convention, Monday through Aug. 22 in Chicago.

New York Times/Siena College polls released Aug. 10 showed Harris with an edge over former President Donald Trump among voters in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, by a margin of 50% to 46% in each of the states.

The Harris-Walz ticket has organized 36 offices and nearly 300 staffers across the state, according to the campaign.

The tour will mark Harris’s eighth visit to Pennsylvania this year and her 18th since she was sworn into office as vice president.

In February, she came to Pittsburgh’s Larimer neighborhood to tout the region’s success in replacing more than 18,000 lead waterlines and improving drinking water infrastructure.
