Beginners mushroom walk
New to the mushrooming hobby? Always wanted to attend a Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club walk but felt a little intimidated? Join Allegheny Land Trust senior director of education and curriculum and WPMC Identifier Julie 10 a.m.-noon July 16 at the Bethel Green Conservation Area for an introductory walk and ID session. Learn how and where to look for mushrooms, general family and order identification tips, and the common names of the mushrooms we encounter.
Masks must be worn at this program and due to covid restrictions, and walk-ins will not be permitted. We will not be foraging on this hike. Cost is $5.

In addition, classical ballet, jazz, modern and folk dance along with an outstanding faculty of noted teachers, Jessica Collazo-Lilja, Chelsea Rokop, Virginia Nicoll and Geña Musica will be part of the day.
Forest dancer will also have a program for younger dancers ages 4-6 years in ballet, creative movement and folk dance. This program will run 10-11:30 a.m. Cost is $25.
