Bethel Park Art Guild to meet
Bethel Park Art Guild will meet at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 2 at Bethel Park Community Center for refreshments, business meeting and guest speaker, artist Larry Branstetter. Unvaccinated attendees must wear masks. All artists are welcome.
Crossing guards wanted
Bethel Park police are hiring school crossing guards for the 2021-22 school year.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a working cell phone and valid email address and will be subject to background checks among other clearances.
Pay is $15.77 per hour for regular guards and $10.70 per hour for alternate guards. Benefits include sick and bereavement leave. Uniforms, equipment and training will be provided.

Recycling event
Pennsylvania Resources Council will host a hard-to-recycle collection at Bethel Park High School, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 28. Participants will pay a fee to dispose of some materials (such as televisions and tires) while other items (such as cell phones and computer towers) will be accepted for free. All participants must register in advance by visiting www.prc.org/HTRregistration or by calling 412-488-7490 ext. 3.
Tailgate Party
South Hills Church of the Nazarene, 5601 Library Road, Bethel Park is hosting a Tailgate Party following the 10 a.m. Sunday Service on Sept. 12. Wear your favorite jersey! Barbeques and fun are provided, just bring your family and friends.
Senior luncheon
A luncheon for seniors ages 90 and older and their caregivers is planned for 11 a.m. Oct 8 at the Bethel Park Community Center, 5151 Park Ave.

Children’s Drama and Music Club
South Hills Church of the Nazarene, located at 5601 Library Road, will host the next session of the Acting Up Club, a drama and music club for children in second through sixth grades, Wednesdays (6:30-8:15 p.m.) Sept. 15 through Dec. 8, to prepare for a Christmas musical on Dec. 11-12.

Charity golf outing
The Bethel Park Fantastic Four Charities’ fourth annual golf tournament is scheduled for Sept. 20 at Nemacolin Country Club in Beallsville. Registration is at 10 a.m. with shotgun starts at noon.
There will be skill prizes, 50/50 raffle and raffle baskets. Golfer registration is $200 or $75 for dinner only.
Proceeds benefit the Bethel Park Community Foundation, Bethel Park Education Foundation, Bethel Park Historical Society and the Bethel Park Public Library. Tee and green sponsorship opportunities are available.

Topgolf Outing
The Rotary Club of Bethel-St. Clair Foundation is hosting the Golf N’Nat Charity Outing 7-10 p.m. Nov. 4 at Topgolf in Bridgeville. There will also be a silent auction, door prizes, 50-50 raffle, Chinese auction, competition prizes and more. Registration, $150 per person or $900 for a group of 6 golfers, is limited to 17 Topgolf bays or 102 players.
