In brief: BPTV wins award, class reunion and more around Bethel Park
BPTV wins award
“Dead and Buried Treasures,” a show on The Municipality of Bethel Park’s cable station, BPTV, recently won a national award – the “2021 Golden Turkey Award” from THE VORTEXX Network, proclaiming it the Best Horror Host TV Show in the country.
According to BPTV director Dave Cable, the award has been given annually by representatives at the Vortexx Network for the past 11 years.
“The award is exclusive to the Vortexx, but sorts through numerous nominees to find the winner,” Cable said.
Captain Calico Drake and the crew of the Swashbuckler’s Haunt received a 24-hour marathon for “Dead and Buried Treasures” on The Vortexx for their efforts.
To watch “Dead and Buried Treasures,” tune in to BPTV (Verizon, channel 32; Comcast, channel 7) Friday and Saturday nights at 11 p.m.
