St. Barnabas Chartiable Golf Open
Enjoy a fun, casual day of golf as St. Barnabas Charities hosts the 34th Annual Charitable Golf Open on June 11 at Conley Resort & Golf Club in Butler.
Proceeds from event support the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund. The outing offers morning and afternoon start options. The format is four-player, best of two balls. Golfers are eligible to win raffle prizes, with winners drawn every 30 minutes. There also will be a silent auction and 50/50 raffle.

The St. Barnabas Charitable Golf Open has raised more than $2.9 million for the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund since the first Open in 1988. The St. Barnabas Free Care Fund provides more than $7 million to needy patients and residents at St. Barnabas who cannot afford their care.

Pipe replacement
Columbia Gas will be replacing more than 4,500 feet of underground pipe impacting customers along portions of Oak Park Drive, Poplar Lane, Black Oak Court and Warrendale Road in Pine.
Work is expected to last through the summer of 2021 and will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists can expect lane restrictions during working hours, and Saturday work also is possible.
All company and contract employees carry photo ID badges identifying them as Columbia Gas employees or contractors. Customers are encouraged to ask for ID before allowing anyone into their home, or they can call 888-460-4332 for Columbia Gas employee verification.

Ninth annual Young Writers Institute
The Fellow of the Western PA Writing Project is holding its ninth Young Writers Institute this summer for rising fifth through seventh graders.
The Institute will be the week of July 26-30 from 9 a.m. to noon in Wexford at Atlas Art Studio, 75 Shenot Road.
It will feature guest writer Cameron Barrett from Pittsburgh, who has won numerous awards as a poet. The Westmoreland Museum also will visit, and participants will write about some art.

Garden club volunteers
The Richland Township Garden Club is looking for a group of volunteers who are interested in starting a Richland Township Garden Club to manage four areas at Richland Community Park. These areas will include the barn planting beds, pavilion planting beds and two new areas located near the new concession stand.
