Fall Harvest Party

Bakerstown Alliance Church is hosting a free fall harvest party for families in the community from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 29 at the church pavilion. The church is located at 4030 Bakerstown Road in Gibsonia.

Enjoy a night of fun planned for the entire family. During the two-hour event, guests can watch a screening of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!” at the outdoor pavilion; play fall-themed games for all ages; enjoy free popcorn and hot or cold apple cider; and win prizes and participate in other giveaways.

Trick or treat

In Pine and Richland, trick or treat will take place Oct. 31 from 6-8 p.m. Homes participating should turn their porch lights on.

Trunk or Treat

Hampton Presbyterian Church will hold a Trunk or Treat from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 29 in the lower parking lot and adjoining field. This event is open to the community.

Adults: Decorate the backs of your cars for Halloween, load up on candy, and come to the HPC parking lot by 1 p.m. for kids to “trick or treat” from car-to-car. Please RSVP on signupgenius.com. Slots are available for the first 20 responders.

Kids: Dress up in costume, trick or treat, play games, and get candy, while the grownups socialize. Participating kids are asked to RSVP to hamptonpresoutreach@gmail.com.

Dia de los Muertos

Explore the Mexican holiday where families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives to reunite for a few days of celebration! Día de los Muertos is full of vibrant traditions, delicious food, family time and captivating stories to remember the dead. Its roots stem back thousands of years, tracing all the way to the Aztecs. Celebrated on Nov. 1-2, millions of people come together to enjoy this holiday in the Americas. Join Northern Tier Library on the Day of the Dead, Nov, 1 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., for crafts and activities to dive into this cherished holiday. This program is intended for children ages 6 to 11. Library Halloween celebration

Come to the library 5-6 p.m. Oct. 27 for outdoor Halloween fun. There will be trick-or-treating, spooky take-home crafts and a costume parade. This event will be held outdoors, weather permitting. In case of rain, it will be hosted inside the library. This program is for children of all ages, and registration is required. Pumpkin roll sale

Salem Church is taking orders for its annual homemade pumpkin roll sale. Rolls are handmade by church members and can be frozen for serving or gifting during the holidays. Pre-order by Oct. 28 and pick up beginning Nov. 9. Each roll contains 12-15 servings and is $16. Gluten-free rolls are $20 each. AARP

AARP 595 welcomes new members and guests to its meeting on the first Tuesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. at Hampton Presbyterian Church, 2842 E. Hardies Road. Join us for great fellowship, luncheons, entertainment and trips. Next meeting is Nov. 1. Entertainment will be “Hollywood Homicides” by Tom Madden. Dues are $7/year.

Cookie walk

St. Brendan’s Episcopal Church in Franklin Park will hold a cookie walk 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 19. There will me more than 600 dozen festive, home-baked cookies, homemade soups and crafters.
