Sweet concert
The Greater Harmony Chorus, a local chapter of Sweet Adelines International, is presenting two concerts Oct. 21 at Ingomar Methodist Church, 1501 W. Ingomar Road in McCandless.
Show times are 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The chorus is the regional first place champion and will be competing at the Sweet Adelines International convention and competition in Kansas City, Mo., in October of 2024.
The Oct. 21 show also features the regional first place quartet, Daybreak. Special guest artists will be Room 100, a student a cappella group from Peters Township High School in Washington County.
Tickets are $20 for adults; $15 for seniors aged 62 and up and $15 for students.

AARP
AARP #2991 meets at noon on the third Thursday of each month at Northmont Presbyterian Church, 8169 Perry Highway. The group offers bingo, entertainment, socialization and trips Dues are $10 a year.
A membership drive continues in October. Every visitor will receive a raffle ticket, join and get two tickets. The drawing will be done in October.
Free shred day
First Choice Advisors and Equitable Advisors are hosting a free shred day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 14 at 11269 Perry Highway in Wexford.
Items that can be shredded include tax returns, investment records, bank statements, canceled checks, pay stubs, credit card statements, personal documents, photos and more.
Sealarks
Sealarks Women’s Group will meet at 1 p.m. Oct. 11 at Memorial Park Church, 8800 Peebles Road, McCandless. The group provides Christian fellowship and social activity for women alone.
All women alone are welcome to attend and consider joining the group.
