Pumpkin fest vendors sought
Ascension Lutheran Church is planning its 10th annual Pumpkin Fest and Flea Market for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 12 at 8225 Peebles Road, McCandless.
Homemade apple and pumpkin pies will be for sale, along with hot dogs, homemade soups, beverages and, of course, pumpkins.
Vendors for the flea market can reserve a space for $20 by contacting vickig@zoominternet.net or calling 724-816-0413.
Marshall Community Day
Marshall Township Community Day is scheduled for Aug. 24 at Knob Hill Park. The event will start at 4 p.m. and wrap up with Zambelli Fireworks around 9:30.

McCandless Community Day
Community Day will take place in McCandless on Sept. 14.
The event will kick off with a performance by the North Allegheny marching band and conclude with fireworks. Additionally, there will be rides, face painting, balloon animals, performances including by the Allegheny Brass Band and food trucks.
Democrat meet and greet
McCandless Democrats will host an event featuring candidates, elected officials, local committee members and neighbors from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 2 at Devlin Park, 9955 Grubbs Road.
Light refreshments will be served and raffle baskets offered. Donate backpacks and school supplies for Crisis Center North. For more information, visit mccandlessdems.org.
Ingomar Garden Club
The Ingomar Garden Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 7 in the picnic pavilion at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 4106 St. Thomas Drive, Richland.
The business meeting will be followed by guest speaker Brian Golgan, owner of Pondering LLC, discussing ways to add a pond or water feature to your landscape. Bring a brown-bag lunch. Desserts and water will be provided. Prospective members are invited.
