Hosta show in Franklin Park
The Daffodil and Hosta Society of Western Pennsylvania will hold its 30th annual Hosta Show on June 1 at Soergel Orchards Farm Market, 2573 Brandt School Road, Franklin Park.
Entries for the juried show of cut leaf and potted hostas/arrangements will be accepted from 8 to 10 a.m. the day of the show. The judges are accredited by the American Hosta Society, and ribbons are awarded to the exhibits that meet specific criteria. Once the judges award the prizes the exhibit is open to the general public to enjoy.
The show is free, and besides the exhibit there will be hosta plants for sale through the event’s conclusion at 4 p.m.

Garden club meets at Beechwood Farms
Greybrooke Garden Club will host an evening meeting on June 12, and guests are welcome.
The club will meet at 6 o’clock at Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve, 614 Dorseyville Road, Fox Chapel. Plant center coordinator Roxanne Swan will present a container garden program on native plants.

Marshall Community Day
Marshall Township Community Day is scheduled for Aug. 24 at Knob Hill Park. The event will start at 4 p.m. and wrap up with Zambelli Fireworks around 9:30.

Franklin Park festival
Franklin Park’s Festival in the Park is scheduled for June 29 on the lower fields at Blueberry Hill Park, off Blaine’s Way.
The festival kicks off at 4 p.m. and features inflatable attractions, food trucks, activities, entertainment, a petting zoo, ax throwing, and live music. The night caps off with a fireworks display around 9:30.
