The splash pad in Pine Community Park is open for the season. Reservations are available in two-hour blocks.
Hours from May 28 through June 9 are 4 to 6 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekend slots are 10 a.m. to noon, noon to 2 p.m., 2 to 4 p.m., 4 to 6 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
Beginning June 10, the weekend hours apply to every day of the week.
Advanced reservation is required for the two-hour blocks, open 48 hours in advance of visits. The splash pad is free to Pine residents and Pine Community Center members, and admission is $5 for others.

Summer learning program
“Adventure Begins at Your Library” is the theme for the summer learning program at Northern Tier Library, featuring lots of community crafts, friendly programs and gathering activities.
The program runs June 10 through Aug. 2 and wraps up with a celebratory bash on Aug. 3.
Featured are returning activities such as outside STEM events, paper art take-home projects and kids’ cooking classes, plus new additions like a baking club for tweens and teens, an all-ages project group for beginners only and outdoor storybook walks.

Library trivia night
The theme is “tropical adventure” for Northern Tier Library’s next Trivia Time, scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. June 7.
Compete in teams of up to four to win a prize. The event is for participants 21 and older, and BYOB. Tickets are $5 per person, or $15 for a team of four, and payment is required upon registration.

Richland ’74 reunion
The 50th-anniversary reunion of the Richland High School Class of 1974 is scheduled for Oct. 5 in Cranberry.

Seamus Regan, a 2020 graduate of Pine-Richland High School, is a co-recipient of the Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship Key, given to the student with the highest cumulative grade point average in the graduating class of the University of Pittsburgh Business School.
