South Hills Church of the Nazarene

• South Hills Church of the Nazarene, 5601 Library Road, Bethel Park is hosting a Tailgate Party following the 10 a.m. Sunday Service on Sept. 12. Wear your favorite jersey. Barbeques and fun are provided, just bring your family and friends.

• DivorceCare Support Group is a ministry of South Hills Church of the Nazarene. The fall session will be held online, beginning 7 p.m. Sept. 9 and will run Thursdays until Dec. 13. Every class stands on its own; the cost for the required workbook is $20. There are limited scholarships available for those unable to pay. For more information and to sign up, contact dc@shcn.org.

• Acting Up Club, a drama and music club for children in second through sixth grades, will be held at the church on Wednesdays (6:30-8:15 p.m.) Sept. 15 through Dec. 8, to prepare for a Christmas musical on Dec. 11-12. Senior luncheon

A luncheon for seniors ages 90 and older and their caregivers is planned for 11 a.m. Oct 8 at the Bethel Park Community Center, 5151 Park Ave.

The event is free for the seniors and their caregivers. Call 412-831-6800, ext. 211 for more information.

Charity golf outing

The Bethel Park Fantastic Four Charities’ fourth annual golf tournament is scheduled for Sept. 20 at Nemacolin Country Club in Beallsville. Registration is at 10 a.m. with shotgun starts at noon.

There will be skill prizes, 50/50 raffle and raffle baskets. Golfer registration is $200 or $75 for dinner only.

Proceeds benefit the Bethel Park Community Foundation, Bethel Park Education Foundation, Bethel Park Historical Society and the Bethel Park Public Library. Tee and green sponsorship opportunities are available.

Topgolf Outing

The Rotary Club of Bethel-St. Clair Foundation is hosting the Golf N’Nat Charity Outing 7-10 p.m. Nov. 4 at Topgolf in Bridgeville. There will also be a silent auction, door prizes, 50-50 raffle, Chinese auction, competition prizes and more. Registration, $150 per person or $900 for a group of 6 golfers, is limited to 17 Topgolf bays or 102 players. Art Guild meeting

The Bethel Park Art Guild will hold its October meeting at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Bethel Park Community Center.

The guest speaker for this month is Yelena Lamm, a Russian-born artist – and that’s where she received her fine art education. She moved to Pittsburgh in 1995 where she expanded her art education to graphic arts and design.

She received her degree in graphic design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She never stopped painting while she studied graphic design. She continues to paint, exhibit, compete and win awards to this date. Her works, figurative or still life, are where it is her goal, to bring beauty, from the beauty she sees in what surrounds us.

Artists of all levels are welcome.

VFC open house

Bethel Park Volunteer Fire Co. will host an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 3 at the station, 5213 Brightwood Road. There will be demonstrations, station tours and other children’s activities. More information is available at bethelparkvfc.com.
