International Day Parade kicks off Saturday in the Hill District, Market Square

International Day in Pittsburgh on Saturday features a parade that began in the Hill District and ended in Market Square. More than 20 vendors and bands are on hand from noon to 9 p.m. at the “World Square.”

The second annual International Day Parade and Festival will kick off Saturday with a parade in Pittsburgh’s Hill District.

The parade began at noon, leaving fron Centre Avenue at Crawford Street, across from Freedom Corner in the Hill District. It will continue down Centre and Fifth avenues to Market Square.

The World Square is open from noon to 9 p.m. at Market Square, featuring live entertainment by DJ Juan Diego, the Pittsburgh RockDutteres, Lilly Abreu, the Pittsburgh Xiaobo Waist Drum Dance Group and others.

More than 20 vendors will also be on hand with food and other items.
