Man found slain in his Stowe Township residence

Police are investigating a shooting on Wednesday evening in Stowe Township that claimed the life of a 26-year-old man.

Allegheny County Police report that a county 911 dispatcher got a call shortly before 5:30 that there was a shooting in the 800 block of Benwood Avenue.

First responders found Michael Dean, 26, of Stowe shot in his residence. He died at the scene.

County police did not say if there are any suspects.

The department’s Homicide Unit is investigating.
