A man was upgraded from critical to stable condition after a stabbing Monday morning in Pittsburgh’s Mt. Washington neighborhood, according to a city Public Safety spokesperson.

City police found the man with stab wounds to his arm and abdomen when they responded to the incident reported shortly before 9 a.m. in the 100 block of Pasadena Street.

The man, who was conscious, was taken by medics to a local hospital.

Police have identified, but did not name, a female suspect who fled the scene.

The city’s Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene. Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
