A Monroeville man charged with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl will have his day in court.
Terrill D. Hall, 28, faces six felonies related to multiple incidents between him and a girl, who was 15 when the illicit sexual encounters allegedly began.
Police launched an investigation after receiving information in March about Hall sexually assaulting the girl, whose identity has been protected and is referred to as Jane Doe in a criminal complaint that was filed against Hall in July.
According to the criminal complaint, Hall sexually assaulted the girl multiple times at his house in Monroeville along McMasters Drive and the girl’s house in a neighboring community.
The criminal complaint described Hall as someone assisting the girl’s family. The assaults began at his house one day when the girl did not go to school and her mother instructed him to be with her that day, according to court documents.
He allegedly pressured the teenager that day to perform a sexual act on him and the acts progressed in severity on several other occasions thereafter, ultimately resulting in sexual intercourse.
The complaint describes an occasion where Hall took the girl to a man’s house in East McKeesport, where he introduced her as his sister to a man. Later that day, back at his house in Monroeville, he sexually assaulted her, even though she resisted.
“Jane Doe stated that she didn’t know what to do and felt as though she had to do what Hall told her to do,” the criminal complaint said. The court document also said the girl was afraid of Hall because she observed him with guns while the two used Facetime, an iPhone feature that allows users to see each other while they talk. The complaint also said she was afraid of him because he knew where she lived and went to school.
Hall allegedly would also send the girl inappropriate images of himself to her cell phone through social media and urged her to do the same. The complaint said Hall became angry when she didn’t send images of herself to him.
“Doe described viewing images of younger girls that were stored on Hall’s phone,” the complaint said.
Hall’s bail was set in July for $100,000. He was jailed at the Allegheny County Jail for five days until Aug. 2, when his bail was modified to nonmonetary.
His attorney, Kenneth Jay Haber, was not immediately available to comment.
