Monroeville, Pitcairn police file several charges against Pitcain man

Monroeville Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey L. Herbst handled these cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Charges were filed by Monroeville police unless otherwise noted.
Held for court
Shawn Colbert, 50, of New Kensington on charges of possession with intent to deliver or manufacture, two counts of possession of narcotics, use and possession of drug paraphernalia, careless driving, reckless driving and driving with a revoked or suspended license. Charges were filed Sept. 9 by Picairn police.
Waived for court
The following cases were listed for Julius L. Carrington, 43, of Pitcairn. Monroeville police filed charges Dec. 17, the rest were filed by Pitcairn police. The following are listed in chronological order by incident date:
• May 20: Carrington was charged with prohibited possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, two counts of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, possession of a weapon, disorderly conduct, two counts of possession of narcotics and public drunkeness. Charges were filed Aug. 15 by Pitcairn police.
• Oct. 31: Carrington was charged with tampering with physical evidence, two counts of possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana and using and possessing drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed Oct. 31 by Pitcairn police.
• Dec. 12: Carrington was charged with possession with intent to deliver or manufacture, possession of a narcotic, possession of marijuana and using and possessing drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed Dec. 12.
• Dec. 15: Carrington was charged with criminal trespassing, possession with intent to deliver or manufacture, three counts of possession of narcotics, using and possessing drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. Charges were filed Dec. 17 by Monroeville police.
