The Tall Trees Amphitheater in Monroeville Community Park West will host a slew of bands through the summer.
The summer concert series in the park will kick off June 30 with The Buffetman & The Fruitcakes, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band from Pittsburgh.
A June 16 concert with swing band Dr. Zoot was canceled due to rain.
Concerts are held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at each event. The park is located at 2447 Tilbrook Road in Monroeville.
Below is a list of upcoming performances:
• July 14: Dancing Queen, a Pittsburgh disco band.
• July 28: The Hobbs Sisters, a country-singing duo originally from Pittsburgh and now based in Nashville, Tenn. The sisters sing originals and covers.
• Aug. 2-4 and 9-10: Poor Yorick’s Players, a William Shakespeare performing troupe. The group will perform Shakespeare’s “The Merchant of Venice” from 7 to 9 p.m.
• Aug. 11: KardaZ, a 1960s and 70s pop/rock band.
• Aug. 17: 17th Annual Monroeville Foundation Jazz Festival. Gates for the free festival open at 2 p.m. The first band, Kind of Blue — a group of young Pittsburgh jazz musicians — hits the stage at 2:30 p.m. They are followed by Steeltown Horns, featuring vocalist Lindsey Smith at 4 p.m. The band is an instrumental jazz funk band. The Benny Benack Band, a band performing jazz songs spanning more than 100 years, will then take the stage at 5:30 p.m. The headliner is the Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra, featuring vocalist Anqwenique Wingfield, at 7 p.m.
• Aug. 25: 8th Street Rox, a local rock and blues band.
