Stabbing incident in East Liberty

Police are investigating a stabbing incident Wednesday night inside a residence in the 700 block of Collins Street in East Liberty.

According to Pittsburgh Police, responders arrived to the scene around 11:30 p.m. and found an adult male with a stab would to his torso area.

The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition and was later upgraded to stable condition.

Witnesses reported to police the victim apparently knew his attacker and it appeared to be a family dispute.

The investigation is ongoing.

Arrest sweep yields drugs, cash in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh Police detectives conducted a multi-zoned arrest sweep over the past week in Pittsburgh.

The citywide arrests occurred between Feb. 28 and March 2 in the Pittsburgh neighborhoods of Carrick, Regent Square and the North Side.

Taylon Streeter, 23, was charged on Feb. 28 with carrying a firearm after police on patrol observed him armed in Carrick.

On March 1, police arrested Andre Yates, 24, and Brandon Diggs, 24, both of Penn Hills, and Armoni Burton, 23, of Greensburg during a traffic stop at South Braddock Avenue and Sanders Street.

Police seized 13 bricks of heroin, fentanyl pills, marijuana and mushrooms and more than $8,000 in cash.

On March 2, detectives conducted a search warrant in the 1100 block of Beunte Street in the North Side that resulted in police confiscating 70 bricks of heroin and more than $5,200 in cash.

Police arrested Deria Mahone, 28, and Dejon Fuller, 27.

Each face multiple narcotic-related charges.

Police search for missing 13-year-old

Pittsburgh Police are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 13-year-old boy.

Tre’Shawn Fuller was last seen leaving his home on Wednesday.

He’s described as 5-feet-6 and 200 pounds with black hair and green eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black coat and shoes and green pants.

Anyone with information on Fuller’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or 412-323-7141.

Two injured in early morning crash in Washington Township

A violent overnight crash in Westmoreland County has injured two people.

The crash happened just after 3 a.m. near the intersection of Route 356 and Reservoir Road, near the line that separates Allegheny and Washington townships, according to TribLive news partner WTAE.

No further details were made available.

Crafton police seek missing teen

Crafton Borough Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 14-year-old girl.

Naomi Taylor was last seen on March 2, according to police.

Taylor is described as having light skin with red hair and is 5 feet tall and 90 pounds.

She ran away from home on Feb. 29 and was located by police in Pittsburgh’s Market Square on March 1.

Anyone with information on Taylor is asked to call 911 or Crafton Police at 412-921-2016.

Rainy weekend in the forecast

Enjoy Thursday’s dry and mild weather in the Pittsburgh region.

High temperatures are expected to reach the high 50s today and up to the 60s Friday.

Rain is expected to move into the area Friday afternoon into Sunday morning and transition to snow Sunday afternoon through Monday as temperatures drop into the overnight lows in the 20s.
