1 rescued from overturned car on Banksville Road

One person was rescued after being pinned inside an overturned vehicle in Pittsburgh’s Banksville neighborhood.

Public safety said first responders were called to Banksville Road at the intersection of Carnahan Road just before 7:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle rollover and entrapment. Upon arrival, they found a woman inside the car.

Public safety officials said medics entered the car to care for the patient with protective blankets while rescue crews worked to stabilize the vehicle and remove the windshield.

The woman was taken to a hospital in stable condition.


State police seek missing 9-year-old Braddock girl

Pennsylvania State Police said they are searching for a missing and endangered 9-year-old girl from Braddock.

Lena Pham was last seen in the area of the 200 block of 3rd Street at around 10 p.m. Thursday, wearing a white T-shirt with black lettering, black shorts and sandals.

She is described as being 4-feet-8 and 70 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Lena may be at special risk of harm or injury, police said.

Police said Lena may be in a black sedan, unknown make or model, with her mother, Trang Dang.

Anyone with information on Lena’s whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately by calling 911 or state police in Pittsburgh at 412-299-1607.
