The Woodlands, an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults with disabilities and chronic illness, honored MSA Safety at its 21st Annual Butterfly Ball fundraiser Aug. 25 at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco.
Each year, the event honors a prominent philanthropist, business or community leader that has played a significant role in the growth of The Woodlands, which has a 52-acre campus straddling Marshall and Bradford Woods.
The 2023 honoree was MSA Safety, which has supported The Woodlands since 2004 through direct and indirect contributions as well as through the involvement of its employees.
“Supporting The Woodlands is a source of immense pride for all of us at MSA Safety, and we are grateful for this recognition,” said Nish Vartanian, MSA Safety Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
“Our partnership with The Woodlands reflects our commitment to making a positive impact in our community. Together, we are not just helping to build a safer world, but also building a more inclusive and supportive one where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”
Gregory B. Jordan, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., and MSA Director is the Butterfly Ball Honorary Corporate Chair.
Funds raised will support The Woodlands’ residential and nonresidential adapted therapeutic programs.
“PNC is proud to support this important event that will enrich many lives in our community,” said Jordan. “As a member of MSA’s board, I have observed firsthand the great corporate leadership demonstrated through their longstanding dedication to The Woodlands and its impactful programming.”
