Murrysville community adult scholarships still accepting applications

The form education may take in the next few months remains up in the air, but community organizations are still seeking applicants for scholarships:

• The Murrysville-Export Rotary Club has extended the application deadline for its Westmoreland County Community College scholarship through May 15.

Applications will be accepted from graduating Franklin Regional seniors, as well as military veterans and single parents living within the school district.

Applications are available at Murrysville-ExportRotary.com.

Completed applications can be mailed to Tameka King-Buchak, Scholarship Chair, Westmoreland County Community College, 6707 Mellon Road, Export, Pa., 15632.

• The Murrysville Woman’s Club will award at least two $3,000 scholarships to women age 21 or older who are currently enrolleed in college or able to provide proof of acceptance for enrollment.

Applications are available by emailing the club’s education and scholarship chairwoman Joyce Somers at joysomers@comcast.net.

The application deadline is May 30.
