“What?!? It’s a real book?!?”

Delmont librarian Denni Grassel’s humorous exclamation in a video posted to YouTube (watch the video below) was the official signal that the Delmont Public Library will be reopening on June 1, with some new procedures in place.

Among the new guidelines:

• Only 25 people will be permitted in the library at any one time

• Masks must be worn

• Two public computers will be available for one hour per patron

• Public restrooms will not be available

• All incoming books will be quarantined for a minimum of 48 hours

The library will be open Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Curbside service will begin on June 8.

“We missed you and we can’t wait to see you soon,” Grassel said in the video.
